"With Gov.'s Early Pledge, Sen. Obama Draws Record Crowd in Richmond" (with video)

With an early pledge of support from Democratic Gov. Tim Kaine, presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) drew a record crowd to Richmond's annual Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner on Saturday evening.

Sen. Obama spoke to the press and to party VIPs before taking the stage to address 3,500 of Virginia's Democratic party faithful, the largest gathering ever assembled at a sit-down dinner in Richmond's history.
