"Obama: 'Mother'" (video)

Ben Smith, with video (00:31):
Obama is up with this ad which seems aimed to speak to older voters, and to put him back into the conversation about healthcare.

He'll pass his plan, he says, without the "bickering" and "lobbyists" -- both Hillary digs, I think.

The ad focuses on his mother's death. It's a lot less abstract than his last, and more rawly emotional. It may also root him a bit; his mother was a white woman from the Midwest, like the plurality of those who caucus.

The campaign is clearly not ceding seniors: He's also hosting his own "Senior Town Hall" in Ames on Friday, and has an op-ed coming in the Quad City Times about his opposition to Social Security privatization.

Just found your website. Fantastic job! I'm going to bookmark for sure. I was trying to find a way to email you instead of a commenting. Can you please spread the word to visitors of your page that the North Seattle Obama group is hosting a Green Lake Walk/Run for Obama at 11:00 am this Saturday. We're meeting at the basketball courts and will have DVDs, buttons, and other things to give away. Thank you!
